My first project as an intern at Present Plus, there’s a new show coming up at Gallery 33 called “Endgame” it’s a show about playing videogames. A group of international artists was asked to share some of their favorite video game memories.
For this show I made a little retro console with a Raspberry Pi. The case itself is cut by a laser cutter which is an amazing tool for these kinds of things. The buttons are directly connected to the GPIO of the Raspberry Pi and simulates a keyboard.
The final result is quite nice i think, the wooden skeleton is made by Tieme Rietveld who shows the contrast between the old school retro machine and the more modern version of it.
